about us

Esoke Cultural Arts Center, formerly Center for Remembering the Culture was formed in 1988, and was incorporated in 2003 as a non-profit 501(C)(3) performing arts school.  We have worked with the Kansas City Missouri School District, the Local Investment Commission (LINC), the Boys & Girls Club, and Kansas City Parks & Recreations providing high quality, dance, drum, language, sewing, and arts & crafts classes for the past 10 years.  Our lead drummer & Artistic Director have both worked with Kansas City Young Audience.  Artistic Director Yaminah Muhammad has studied in Senegal and Gambia West Africa, as well as Barbados in the West Indies.  Take a world tour through our organization.
